OUR STORY

Dr. Jose has more than 48  years of experience inspiring individuals as a marriage, family and life coach, an educator and pastor. He is known for restoring and revitalizing marriages. His legacy has reached the third generation of couples and his influence remains significant. Married to Caroline for 48  years, together they raised five beautiful daughters and 18  grandchildren.  Dr. Jose has worked extensively in various settings such as marriage retreats, workshops, leadership coaching, etc., and life coaching individuals and families.  His own journey as an adult son of an alcoholic has made him aware of the challenges one faces for self-improvement. His rich experience including many trials, as a husband, father, and grandfather is one of the reasons why he is compassionate and his coaching style is relevant. He is professional, skilled, authentic and transparent. Dr. Jose earned a Doctorate  in Ministry, a M. Div, a BA in Intercultural Studies and an MA in Marriage and Family Counseling. He has various certifications as a coach and a facilitator of training. These are CoachNet, Sparks Coaching, Prepare and Enrich, and SYMBIS (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts). Prepare and Enrich and SYMBIS are customized relationship assessments that identify a couple's strengths and growth areas, allowing them to focus on the areas that are crucial for growth within their unique relationship. He is also a certified “Holistic Cancer Coach.”

Both Dr. Jose and Dr. Caroline are certified in “TRAUMA INFORMED CARE’ from CSUF.  They both are speakers for the LACOE’s Parent Education and Collaboration Program. They present relevant and inspirational insights to parents of incarcerated teens empowering  parents to reclaim, refocus and rebuild a healthy and functional relationship with their children. They are also certified as facilitators for PARENT PROJECT, the most comprehensive 40-hour training on parenting advice for high-risk youth.

Dr. Caroline for the last 45 years has made a difference in individual lives inspiring them to reach their full potential at every stage of life as a teacher, adjunct university professor, a life, marriage and transformational coach, a conference speaker, and a pastor’s wife. She taught as an elementary school  and high school teacher and later,  taught high school pregnant and parenting teens. In 2013 She was awarded the “Teacher of the Year” for Los Angeles County School of Education in 2013 for the Division of Alternative Education. During the last four years of her career, she taught incarcerated teens at Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall and at Afflerbaugh Paige Camp and also worked as a Parent Liaison.
